Partner and Equity Real Estate Fund Manager
Executive partner and manager responsible for equity real estate funds. Carlos is a founding partner of Kinea, responsible for implementing the real estate funds area. He has been working in the real estate industry since 2007, being responsible for asset management, investor relations, and business origination and capture. Actively participates in real estate investment committees. Prior to Kinea, he worked for 15 years at BankBoston, where he passed through the credit and international operations areas and for 6 years, was in the structured & corporate finance area. He started his career at Citibank.
Carlos holds an MBA from the Boston School/Columbia University and an Executive MBA from IBMEC, currently Insper, and a degree in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EAESP-FGV) and attended the YMP (Young Manager Program) at INSEAD.
Strategist / Acquisitions
Alessandro Estevam is part of the real estate asset management area at Kinea and has been with the company since September 2010. Before Kinea, Alessandro worked at Jones Lang LaSalle for 10 years where he coordinated the process of divestment, representing multinational companies and institutional investors, in acquiring real estate assets on behalf of national and foreign investors, and analysis of best use (Highest and Best Use), having also worked in consulting and tenant representation areas.
Alessandro has a degree in Business Administration from the Alvares Penteado Foundation.
Dan Amaral is part of Kinea’s real estate team, working in property management for the logistic portfolios of income funds. With over 11 years of experience in the real estate industry, Dan has worked in multinational companies such as CBRE and Prologis.
Dan has an MBA in Leadership, Innovation and Management from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS).
Gilberto is responsible for new business within the real estate area. With 8 years of experience in the real estate market, he previously worked at CBRE Brazil as an investment department consultant, initially in the office market for 2 years, and later in the logistics market for 7 years, coordinating sales processes of real estate assets in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, and Bahia. Previously, he worked at NovaAgri in the area of grain storage sheds in Tocantins, Bahia, and Minas Gerais.
Gilberto has a degree in Engineering from UNICAMP.
Guilherme is part of Kinea’s real estate team, responsible for tenant relationship management and the prospecting of future clients for logistic properties. With over 10 years of experience in the real estate market, before joining Kinea, he worked as a commercial property manager at Fulwood Investimentos e Participações, covering in the Greater São Paulo and Minas Gerais regions. In the real estate market, he also worked at CBRE Brazil, initially in the industrial research area, mapping sheds and condominiums nationwide for 3 years, and afterwards, as a commercial consultant for 8 years, managing clients/developers in the leasing of ventures, team coordination, marketing materials supervision, and annual business plan development in the area.
Guilherme has a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Paulista.
Gustavo Villela is part of Kinea’s real estate asset management team and has been with the company since April 2018. Prior to Kinea, Gustavo worked for Cushman & Wakefield for 7 years and Newmark Grubb for 3 years, where he coordinated leasing processes, representing multinationals and institutional investors in the acquisition and rental of real estate assets on behalf of national and foreign investors, also working in the areas of consulting and tenant representation.
Gustavo has a degree in economics from the Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro.
Sales and Investor Relations
Ivan joined Kinea in August 2014. Previously, he worked in investment product structuring at Itaú Unibanco. He also worked at Banco Indusval Multistock in the proprietary fund management area and on the derivatives desk at a brokerage associated with the institution. Ivan has a degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP).
José Farias joined Kinea in 2014, responsible for the property management and tenant relationships, in addition to investment proposals and the implementation of capital for Kinea’s income fund. Prior to joining Kinea, he worked at São Carlos Empreendimentos e Participações S.A., a Brazilian commercial real estate company, for 5 years, where he was responsible for the administration of assets and operations of the Sao Carlos asset base. He has been working in the real estate market since 2009.
José Farias has an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/SP), and a degree in Business Administration from Universidade de Osasco/SP.
Luciana joined Kinea in 2012 to work in tenant relationship management and to develop market rent studies. Her main activities include leasing vacant areas and renewing lease contracts. She has been working in the real estate industry since 2008 and before joining Kinea, worked at São Carlos Empreendimentos e Participações, one of the largest Brazilian property companies, for 4 years, where she worked in office leasing and new business for retail.
Luciana has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Universidade Mackenzie and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
Marcel is a member of Kinea’s Target Asset Management department and has been with the company since December 2009. He is responsible for monitoring and overseeing Kinea’s 40 real estate development projects, as well as managing the income fund’s financial controls. Prior to joining Kinea, Marcel worked at Lindencorp Desenvolvimento Imobiliário, where he served as Structured Finance Manager, responsible for structuring the company’s structured finance projects and even participating in the setup of income-oriented real estate funds developed by the company. In addition to his experience in real estate, Marcel has also worked at Fit Residencial (Gafisa), where he was responsible for investment analysis and financial planning. He has more than 12 years of experience in the real estate market.
Marcel holds a specialization in Real Estate Finance from MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA in Finance from Insper – SP, and a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
Marcela joined Kinea in 2012 and currently operates in financial control and income fund management. Her main activities include fund financial planning, property and investment financial analysis. She has been in the real estate sector since 2010 and previously worked at Gafisa S/A, one of Brazil’s largest developers, as an investment and financial planning analyst.
She holds a degree in business administration from Insper (IBMEC – SP).
Tamires holds a postgraduate degree in finance from Insper and has previously worked as a Financial Planning Specialist at VBI Real Estate. Her previous experience includes working for Rodobens, Alphaville Urbanismo, and Cipasa, where she worked in the areas of Investor Relations, Investment Analysis/Viability, and Financial Planning.
